4. The Nature-Lover
Typical characteristics
You wear trekking boots and a down jacket when you go to work in the city and you love practical tools such as the Swiss Army Knife. You hate organized tours and you dream of spending several weeks in the Andes, by yourself testing out your physical limits and meditating. Wildlife and mountains fascinate you and you can go for weeks without electricity and Internet connection. In fact, you sometimes prefer to turn off your cellphone while searching for your inner peace. Cities make you nervous and the only reason you would visit one is to take a warm shower and plan your next steps.
Places to visit
Latin America has a lot to offer for nature-lovers such as the Andes, the Amazon, Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, Chapada Diamantina or Pantanal in Brazil, Patagonia in Chile and Argentina and San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. Or how about some secluded beaches in Panama such as Playa Venao or the San Blas Islands?
Places to avoid
Big cities such as Lima, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires or Mexico City are likely to make you feel uncomfortable.
This is such an informative and helpful post! I want to go to so many places, but I need to remember not everywhere is suited to my style of travel!
Thank you Brooklyn! I hope you find the right places for you.
I would love to go to Buenos Aires and Costa Rica!
Cute post but Super helpful in guiding!
You should go!
Great Post Altough I find myself a bit in several types of travellers. Nature lover and lazy bum all in one. It just proofs that Latin America has something for everyone

Love this! Latin America just has so much going on it’s hard to know where to start. I think I’m a bit of everything so it goes to show it has something for everyone!

Yes! I think me too. Although, I think I might be a little bit of everything
Such a fun post! Like others, I’m a little bit of many of these. And I’d love to see pretty much every inch of Latin America…I’m a little obsessed. 😀 Haven’t hit SA yet but it’s on my list!
